Before I left Yogyakarta for Jakarta I managed to squeeze in some tourist attractions. Went to the (according to the brochure) world’s largest Buddhist temple, Borobodur, and a massive Hindu temple called Prambanan. Two beautiful places where I surprisingly seemed to be more exotic than the temples. At Borobodour I was mobbed by a herd of school children that wanted to have their picture taken with me. I thought it would only be fair to say ‘yes’, a sort of payback for all the pictures I have taken the last few years. It felt like I had come back from the moon, everyone was really exited to see me. And I am not really sure where all these images will end up either. During this trip across Java there must be hundreds of pictures, on various mobile phones, of a lanky slightly uncomfortable blond chap more used to be on the other side of the lens.
